Last week we got confirmation from the IRS that they’ve received our application for non-profit status. I’ve scanned it so y’all can read it if you like, but the short of it is that the applications get divided into three groups:
Those they can process immediately
Those they need a little more information
Those that need “additional development”

On Friday we passed the first big hurdle to getting non-profit status: After many weeks of hard work, I got our IRS form 1023, “Application for Non-Profit Status” sent off to the IRS.
